Prayagraj: Ahead of Maha Kumbh, the prominent akhara of 13 akharas of Sanatan Dharma - Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara - made an official entry into the city with full pomp and show here on Sunday.
Escorted by scores of seers and saints, including Mahant, Malamandleshwars, along with Naga Sadhus carrying the traditional Dharma Dhwaj, the entry of the akhara was marked with fervour and zeal as the entourage, which assembled near Ramapur, made its way to the city. A naga sadhu playing with a sword and stick became the main attraction of the grand entry of the akharas, with saints and seers shouting ‘Har Har Mahadev'.
The process of entry of 13 akharas into the city has officially begun. The grand Nagar Pravesh Yatra of the seers, saints, Mahant, and Mahamandleshwar of the Akhara started from Hanuman Temple of Ramapur village (Andhawa) with their Ramta Panch, which concluded in the Mauj Giri Ashram of Juna Akhara in the city.
On the way of the Nagar Pravesh Yatra, the seers, saints, and Mahants of the Akhara were welcomed with flowers by the Kumbh Mela administration at various places. The locals showered flowers on Mahamandaleshwars of the Akharas seated on silver thrones. The saints of the Akhara will now stay in the city.
On Dec 14, the Akhara will enter Kumbh area under the leadership of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara. To ensure the safe completion of the Nagar Pravesh Yatra, a large posse of police forces, including four Deputy SPs, six inspectors, nine sub-inspectors, and 250 police personnel, were deployed between Ramapur and Mauj Giri Ashram. Special focus has also been laid on traffic management and control on the prominent streets of the city.
Moreover, the presence of women power was also seen in the Nagar Pravesh Yatra. A large number of women Maha mandaleshwars from the country as well as abroad also became a part of the grand procession. A woman saint from Nepal and Mahamandaleshwar of Juna Akhara, Hema Nand Giri, said that it is the good fortune of the saints that the CM of the state where the Maha Kumbh is being organised is also a saint. The way preparations are going on by Yogi Ji with the resolve to organise a grand and divine Maha Kumbh, the propagation of Sanatan Dharma is now happening rapidly in various countries of the world, including Nepal.
