A 22-year-old from Telangana, Shaik Irfan, died in a factory accident in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on September 25. He was critically injured when the gate of the company crashed into his head. His body was sent back to India on November 1, with government assistance for transportation provided.

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old youth from Telangana died in a worksite mishap in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Shaik Irfan of Islampur in Kamareddy district went to Saudi Arabia in February this year to work in a factory.
Irfan’s brother, Naseer, told TOI that the information they received was that Irfan sustained critical injuries when the gate of an electronics gadgets company, where he was working, crashed into his head. He died on the spot in the incident on September 25.
After a post-mortem was performed, the body was sent home to India on November 1.
TPCC NRI cell convenor Bheem Reddy Mandha said the state govt provided an ambulance to transport the body from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad to Kamareddy at the request of social worker Afran Shaik of Kamareddy and Mukheedh in Riyadh.
