Hassan/Mysuru: Amidst rainfall, devotees took darshan of the Goddess at Hasanamba Temple on Friday. Malnad City received good rain in the evening, but the devotees standing in queue continued to move in line to take darshan.
Apart from common people, dignitaries like Pejawar Mutt seer Vishwesha Thirtha swami, MLC CT Ravi, and deputy speaker MK Pranesh took darshan of the Goddess. With multiple untoward incidents reported during the festival, the authorities strengthened security and deputed additional police force. However, no confusion or untoward incidents were reported on Friday.
Meanwhile, Mysuru witnessed heavy downpour on Friday evening, affecting the Deepavali celebrations. The showers started around 7 pm, and continued for over an hour, inundating low-lying areas.
