Akola: A youth who attempted suicide by jumping from the flyover in front of Akola district jail on Wednesday night had a miracalous escape when district superintendent of police Bachchan Singh, who happened to pass by the same route at that moment, came to his rescue.
The superintendent of police rushed the injured youth, identified as Kishore Kailash Bavane, to district general hospital in one of his vehicles. Police said that the condition of Bavane is critical.
The Akola police identified the youth as Kishore Kailash Bavane from the tattoo on his hand.
