Chandigarh: The AICC has picked Rajya Sabha MP and AICC general secretary Randeep Surjewala as one of the star campaigners of the Congress party for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra.
Notably, Surjewala is the only leader from Haryana to be included in the star campaigners’ list.
Former chief minister of Haryana Bhupinder Hooda and Lok Sabha MPs Kumari Selja and Deepender Hooda don’t find any mention in the list. Sources, however, said their names could figure in the list of star campaigners for the Jharkhand assembly elections.
It may be recalled that the BJP has picked Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini as one of its star campaigners for the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
