Bhubaneswar: Deputy chief minister Pravati Parida announced on Wednesday that all anganwadi workers who were excluded from the Subhadra scheme will receive the first instalment of Rs 5,000 in the third phase of payment.
“Around 2.67 lakh women beneficiaries, whose applications were previously cancelled for various reasons, will be re-verified. I believe this is the first time in history that a rejected list is being reviewed,” said Parida. A detailed guideline for reviewing the rejected applications will be released on Nov 1, she added. The verification process will be conducted at the block level by designated officials, with local administration instructed to expedite the process. She said a monitoring committee has been established to oversee the process and ensure timely disbursement of benefits.
Subhadra Yojana, launched in Sept, will provide assistance of Rs 50,000 over five years to over 1 crore eligible women.
