Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate projects worth Rs 284 crore at Ektanagar in Narmada district on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, which marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
A govt statement said the PM will inaugurate or lay the foundation stones of new projects, including a bonsai garden, sewage treatment plant, Sardar Sarovar Dam experience centre, sub-district hospital, traffic circles, a smart bus stop, CESL car charging port, a 4 MW solar project and an ICU-on-wheels.
The newly constructed 50-bed sub-district hospital, built for Rs 22 crore, will be equipped with all essential medical services. The statement added that the hospital will have a trauma centre, gynaecological operating theatre, minor operating theatre, OT room, CT scan, ICU, labour room, special ward, physiotherapy ward, surgeon's cabin, medical store and an ambulance.
The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA) is developing 10 smart bus stops, and 10 pick-up stands for tourists in Ekta Nagar, with the first phase to be inaugurated by the PM.
Moreover, traffic circles have been constructed at Ektanagar three-way intersection, Garudeshwar Chowk, near Children's Nutrition Park, and near Sahakar Bhavan to improve traffic management.
The PM will also lay the foundation stone for a Rs 75 crore sewage treatment plant at Ektanagar. This facility will manage sewage disposal from around 4,000 homes, govt quarters and other hospitality establishments.
