Bengaluru: IIM-Bangalore has completed the summer internship placement process for the PGP and PGP-BA 2024-26 cohorts, consisting of 601 students. A total of 140 organisations made offers, with Accenture Strategy making a record number of offers.
Tapas Ranjan Pati, head of career development services, said: "Management consulting continues to be the top preference among students, accounting for 38% of the offers. We would also like to highlight the record offers made by Accenture Strategy."
The company made 96 offers, the highest among the 22 consulting firms, which together made 230 offers. Boston Consulting Group (22) and Tata Consultancy Services (17) were among the other firms.
In the FMCG or retail sector, 19 firms made 58 offers, with Hindustan Unilever (10) and Procter & Gamble (7) topping the list. In the e-commerce, payments and telecom sectors, American Express (11), Amazon (9), and Delhivery (8) led the way.
Six healthcare companies, including Sun Pharmaceuticals (4) and AstraZeneca (2) made offers. There were also three foundations and governance and education organisations at the placement offers.
