Google is celebrating Diwali with three interactive browser experiences that let users light virtual diyas, create rangolis, and enjoy digital sweets. By simply typing 'Diwali,' 'Rangoli,' or 'Diwali Sweets' into the search bar, users can engage with these festive activities on their screens. The initiative brings a digital twist to Diwali's traditional customs.
Diwali will be celebrated globally on October 31, and ahead of the festival of lights Google has released three unique interactive experiences on its search page. Departing from its usual practice of commemorating events with static or animated Doodles, Google has introduced a feature that allows users to digitally light virtual diyas (oil lamps), make rangoli and enjoy sweets. This interactive element brings Diwali's most cherished traditions to life on screen, allowing users to engage with the spirit of the festival in a new and engaging way.
