New Delhi: Over 800 young artists recently gathered for the Times NIE Colour Splash, an annual event celebrating imagination and artistic expression. Students, armed with paintbrushes and palettes, eagerly explored themes like ‘A day in my dream land' & ‘My fantasy adventure' for juniors, and ‘A day at my dream destination' & ‘Exploring an enchanted forest' for seniors. Presented by Jockey Juniors, the event took place on Oct 19 at Gurusharan Convent School in Paschim Vihar.
The school grounds transformed into a lively tapestry of colours. Students settled on the grass, and laughter filled the air as friends cheered one another on. One girl declared that her artwork was an ‘ocean paradise', while another boy depicted a futuristic city bustling with flying cars. In addition to the art competition, the event also featured lively dance performances by participants.
The artwork was evaluated by Bollywood art director Boishali Sinha, fine art photographer Abhishek Pandey and creative consultant Gunjan Jain, who were the judges. One of the participants, Aradhya, said, "This is my third art competition, but I'm having more fun than ever!"
