Jaipur: Ahead of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh's musical show in Jaipur on Nov 3, the teams of Enforcement Directorate (ED), New Delhi, launched a nationwide investigation into the alleged illegal sale of tickets in various cities, including Jaipur.
ED teams conducted searches on Thursday and Friday at more than 13 locations in five states, including Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
Senior officers of ED on Sunday confirmed that the raids were carried out in various cities, including Jaipur. "It was learnt that concerts of Dosanjh's ‘Dilliminati' and Coldplay's ‘Music of Spheres World Tour' in India saw the bookings of tickets at various platforms, including BookMyShow, get sold out within minutes of the opening of ticket sales. Some people have bought tickets and selling it at higher prices," said a senior officer of ED on the condition of anonymity on Sunday.
"Our probe is aimed at finding the black-marketing of tickets at exorbitant prices," said a senior official.
