Varanasi: During his visit to Kashi, union education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, on Monday visited the Sayaji Rao Gaekwad Central Library at BHU. He was briefed on the efforts being made to enrich the library and enhance student facilities.
Pradhan remarked that the library is exceptionally rich and houses a vast collection of rare manuscripts and books preserving the Indian knowledge tradition. He highlighted the importance of using technology and new methods to effectively disseminate the library's knowledge resources to learners.The minister suggested considering the adoption of best practices used by renowned libraries worldwide. BHU VC Prof Sudhir Kumar Jain said several new initiatives have been undertaken by the university to benefit more students and researchers.
The university librarian, Dr. D. K. Singh was also present.
