Nagpur: The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) declared seven candidates for Vidarbha on Sunday, although none for Nagpur district. The names announced by VBA are Prashant Waghode (Buldhana), Pravin Patil (Jalgaon-Jamod), Deepak Bodke (Akot), Rahul Meshram (Amravati), Atul Gajbhiye (Tirora), Kiran Kumre (Ralegaon), and Tatyarao Hanumante (Umarkhed).
As is the practice by VBA to officially state the religion/community of the candidate, for Vidarbha, the party went with four Buddhists, and one each from the Bari, Pradhan, and Maratha communities.
