Lucknow: Two on duty cops had a rude shock on Saturday when thieves/snatchers took away their mobile phones while they paused for tea breaks in the PGI police station area.
According to reports, sub inspector Ram Autar Gupta and head constable Ravindra Kumar became the target of mobile thieves while they were having tea at a stall near the DCP South office.
They had left their mobile phones on a chair beside them as they sipped tea.
"After having our tea, we turned back to find our phones missing. An unknown person stole them," said the complaint filed by the duo.
Among the phones was a device with a govt CUG number, essential for official communication.
The local police have registered the complaint and launched an investigation, though the phones are yet to be recovered.
