New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party MP from South Delhi, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, met lieutenant governor VK Saxena on Monday to discuss issues related to Delhi Development Authority (DDA), where the LG also serves as chairperson.
Following the meeting, Bidhuri shared that, under the LG's order, the facility for mutation was extended to farmers. "This has benefited thousands of people in the villages because mutation was earlier not allowed, and the names of the heirs of the farmers who died were not being recorded in the revenue records," he said.
Bidhuri also noted the removal of the requirement for obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from DDA for electricity connections in unauthorised colonies and villages in Delhi, a change that all BJP MPs had previously requested from the LG. "After this condition was removed, thousands of people have received electricity connections so far," he added.
Additionally, Rs 1,000 crore was allocated for the development of Delhi's villages, which has facilitated the resumption of stalled development work in these areas, according to Bidhuri.
