New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party MLA Vinay Mishra took charge as the vice-chairman of Delhi Jal Board on Monday. Mishra alleged that BJP-led interference disrupted DJB's work, but now the focus would be on getting the city's infrastructure back on track.
"BJP's disdain for Arvind Kejriwal has extended to the people of Delhi. Besides smoke from stubble burning, industrial waste from Haryana has increased ammonia levels in the Yamuna, which affects the operations of our water treatment plants," Mishra said.
In response, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal alleged that AAP only indulged in showmanship and making statements, but paid no attention to increasing or cleaning Delhi's water supply. tnn
