Mysuru: A monkey that bothered people has resurfaced in Mysore railway station, where it previously caused trouble by biting passengers. On Friday, it was at the station again, and attacked an auto driver while he was seated on platform 6. The unexpected assault resulted in an injury to the driver's foot, prompting immediate medical attention.
This incident follows a prior attack on an Army officer by the same monkey, raising concern about passenger safety. Despite previous attempts by forest officials to capture the creature after being alerted by railway authorities, it evaded being captured.
Passengers expressed anxiety following Friday's attack, they were watchful until they boarded their trains. Railway officials reported that they have contacted both forest authorities and a monkey catcher.
