Ludhiana: The 65th Punjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival, hosted by Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, was in full swing on its fourth day. Students eagerly participated in a variety of competitions, exuding positivity and showcasing their diverse talents.
The day featured performances in classical dance, group dance, folk dance, kavishri, vaar singing, and kali singing. Besides, competitions in heritage quiz, creative writing, and handwriting were conducted.
Ashok Parshar, MLA Ludhiana Central, Madan Lal Bagga, MLA Ludhiana North, Dr Satbir Singh Gausal, vice chancellor, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, and Dr Gurpreet Kaur, retired principal of SCD Government College, Ludhiana, were the guests on the occasion. Manjit Kaur Sodhia, Indra Bhatia, Rameshinder Bal, Sunil Vohra, Chiranjeevi and Ajit Kaur were the special guests for the day. Principal Suman Lata honoured the chief guest and special guests at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Parashar applauded the efforts of principal Suman Lata for hosting the youth festival “in a very well organised way”. Parashar congratulated the prize winners and motivated the students to keep continuing to work hard in future also.
On the occasion, chief guest Satbir Singh Gosal, vice chancellor, PAU, Ludhiana, said the younger generation has a special contribution in preserving the heritage. He appreciated and congratulated the principal for conducting the youth festival and motivated the students to stay connected with the heritage.
