She submitted her papers to subdivisional magistrate - cum - returning officer at Piro in Bhojpur district. Kiran, a social activist, was accompanied by Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor and her supporters.
Earlier, Prashant Kishor took out a foot march from the Piro high school ground to Piro SDM's office where the party candidate Kiran filed her papers. Later, addressing the people, Kishor said, “Kiran is the daughter of Tarari who works for the women empowerment and social welfare. The BJP’s candidate is a ‘Dabang' (muscleman) and such persons have no caste. If you want to be free from the clutches of' ‘mafia raj’ you ought to elect Kiran from Tarari.”
Exhorting people to get rid of the alleged ‘jungle raj’ of the RJD govt, and ‘officer raj’ of the NDA govt, the Jan Suraaj founder said, “Earlier the people used to rue the lack of any other option besides the RJD and the NDA. However, now you have the option to elect honest and capable candidate of Jan Suraaj. At Tarari, people now needn't elect the BJP due to the fear of the CPI (ML) and the vice versa (electing the CPI (ML) to prevent the BJP). You have a better option in the form of Jan Suraaj.” Kishor said.
