Prayagraj: Visitors coming to Sangam City during the Maha Kumbh will also get to see a glimpse of Yuge Yugeen Bharat, the world's largest museum coming up in New Delhi.
A trailer, pertaining to this museum, will be presented at the exhibition centre of Allahabad Museum at the Maha Kumbh area.
Set to come up at North and South Block as part of the Central Vista Redevelopment project that seeks to revamp India's central administrative area located near Raisina Hill, New Delhi, the museum will be spread over 1,54,000 sqm, making it the largest in the world. It will replace the National Museum of India as the national museum.
Deputy Curator of Prayagraj Museum, Rajesh Mishra, said: "The trailer of the Yuge-Yugeen Bharat will be shown in Maha Kumbh, and its action plan is being prepared. Replicas of statues kept in Prayagraj Museum will also be displayed."
Apart from this, the culture and grandeur of India will also be on display at the Prayagraj Museum's grand exhibition.
The Yogi govt is providing space to the museum for the exhibition in Maha Kumbh. A digital exhibition will be organised by the museum in Maha Kumbh, in which objects related to history will be displayed. An Amrit Kalash will also be made.
Prayagraj museum has a variety of collections, such as sculptures, miniature art, modern painting, archaeological objects, coins, weapons, clothes, manuscripts, decrees, etc.
In the sculpture collection, the Ashoka Pillar Top (3rd Century BC) and 58 Bharhut Stupa (2nd Century BC) art sculptures, which have scenes from Jataka tales, pillars, Bader, and Toran, are displayed in the East Art Craft Gallery. The medieval sculpture section has Vaishnav, Shakta, Shaiva, and Jain sculptures. There is a rich collection of miniature paintings and modern paintings.
