NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 11:04AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.25 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.07 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.06 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.

L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 2.2 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was down 0.2 per cent at 42056.7 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 232.96 points at 24166.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 614.87 points at 79450.29.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank, Zomato and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of ABM International, Tirupati Forge, Radico Khaitan, Industrial Invst and Mask Investments hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while IndusInd Bank, Suryoday Small Finance Bank, De Nora India, Gloster and Spaceage Products hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
