Patna: Two people, Sanjeev Rai (32), son of Hulas Rai, and Muskan Kumari (16), daughter of Ram Chhabila Rai—natives of Fatehpur village in Aurai block of Muzaffarpur were feared drowned after their boat capsized in a tributary of the Bagmati river in Muzaffarpur district on Thursday.
A total of 10 people were aboard the boat at the time of the incident.While eight of them were rescued by local divers, a search operation is underway to find the two missing people.
All the 10 had gone to bring fodder for their cattle from the other side of the village. Muzaffarpur East SDPO, Amit Kumar, said, “There is an agriculture field on the other side of the village. The tributary of Bagmati lies between the village and the agriculture field.”
