Lucknow: Sunsure Energy, a Gurugram-based firm has successfully commissioned its sixth open access solar power plant, with a capacity of 49 MWp at Augasi in Banda.
This latest addition to the company's portfolio brings its total commissioned open access solar capacity in the state to 160 MWp, all within a span of one year. The operational solar plants are located in Agra, Mahoba, Jhansi and Unnao.
The company has an additional 270 MWp of solar plants in various stages of construction and development within Uttar Pradesh.
The newly commissioned 49 MWp Augasi solar plant is projected to offset a staggering 1.3 million tonnes of CO2e throughout its lifetime. Sunsure Energy currently caters to the green power needs of over 20 esteemed customers in Uttar Pradesh, including prominent names such as Wonder Cement, Inox Air Products, Kajaria, Dabur, Gallantt Ispat and Orient Bell.
Shashank Sharma, the chairman and CEO of Sunsure Energy, said, "Sunsure Energy commands 25% share of this market."
