Ludhiana: The Jamalpur police have filed an FIR against the stakeholders of Omax Steel Limited for cheating, criminal breach of trust, and criminal conspiracy, following a complaint from the chief manager of Punjab National Bank in Chandigarh.
The accused include Jagjit Singh, Manjeet Singh Kang, Chetan Prakash Sharma, Ashwani Verma, and two unidentified accomplices. Nand Kishor Barwal, PNB’s chief manager, accused them of submitting forged sale deeds to the bank, which had enabled them to secure funds and loans, brining losses to the bank.
The Jamalpur police stated that a case of criminal breach of trust had been registered without any arrest.
