Jaipur: In strict instructions to officials of JMC-Heritage, Civil Lines MLA Gopal Sharma on Wednesday said encroachers should not be spared under any circumstances.
"While removing encroachers, officials should not see whether they are relatives of or close to some MLA or minister. Strict action should be taken against them and an official should be deployed at night especially to stop illegal constructions taking place in the night," Sharma said.
Sharma was reviewing ongoing and pending works in Civil Lines assembly constituency at a meeting with JMC-Heritage acting mayor Kusum Yadav and officials. Sharma raised issues like encroachment, repair of street lights, and repair of drains and roads especially in Hasanpura area. He also handed over photographs of 10 dilapidated parks to commissioner AK Hasija and instructed him to restore the gardens at the earliest.
"It is unfortunate that even after the mayor, commissioner, and MLAs visited this park located behind Raj Bhavan four times, the park is still in a poor condition. Work for cleaning the parks, repairing lights, removing illegal hoardings and encroachments should be completed by Diwali," the MLA said.
