Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inaugurated 99 projects worth Rs 224.97 crore and laid the foundation stones for 112 projects costing Rs 269.19 crore in Supaul district.
During his tour, the CM also visited ward no. 12 (Mahadalit Tola) of Malarh village under Kishunpur block and took stock of the development projects.
As part of the tour, the CM inaugurated and laid the foundation for various works, including the construction of eight roads, installation of solar lights in four wards of Malarh panchayat, and the construction of paver blocks.After the inauguration, the CM inspected the public pond and released fish seed into it.
He instructed officials to construct ghats, having proper steps, on all three sides of the pond, to facilitate bathing during the Chhath and other religious occasions. He emphasized the importance of water and forest conservation, urging people to understand their significance.
The CM also planted saplings near the pond.
