Moneycontrol has strengthened its leadership position as one of India’s top destinations for business, markets, and finance news, again surpassing its competitor, according to Comscore’s viewership data for September.
With 53.16 million unique visitors in September, Moneycontrol secured the top spot, ahead of ET, which had 41.37 million. Moneycontrol’s unique visitors grew by 4.38 percent from August, while ET experienced a 21.7 percent decline.
Moneycontrol’s lead over ET was evident in the difference in unique visitors on both platforms, with Moneycontrol ahead by 11.86 million unique visitors
Moneycontrol also outperformed ET in page views and time spent, which are important metrics of digital reader engagement. In September, Moneycontrol recorded 452.43 million page views, compared to ET’s 277.95 million
Moneycontrol’s leading position was also reflected in the time spent by readers. In September, readers spent 407.48 million minutes on Moneycontrol, surpassing ET’s 385.24 million minutes.
Meanwhile, Moneycontrol Pro, a subscription product from Network18’s Moneycontrol, has crossed 1 million paying subscribers, cementing its position as India’s largest news subscription platform and emerging among the top 15 worldwide. Moneycontrol Pro’s subscription numbers are now close to major international media platforms such as Financial Times and Barrons.
