Canacona: An empty gas tanker en route to Karnataka from Margao veered off the road at Karmal Ghat on Wednesday morning, partially blocking traffic.
The incident occurred when the driver attempted to avert a collision with an oncoming vehicle, but his tanker’s cabin shifted in the wrong direction, causing a log jam. None was hurt but traffic was disrupted.
A commuter stuck because of the accident said police could not clear the traffic immediately due to the lack of a crane.“There is no crane in Canacona that can be pushed into service,” he said.
He also said that govt must widen the route to avoid delays due to accidents.
