Prayagraj: An elevated flyover has been approved in the Naini area of the district, for which the DPR is being prepared. It is also likely to receive financial approval soon. This flyover will be built over the Mirzapur highway starting from Leprosy Mission Chauraha towards the Naini Jail gate and extending beyond the BPCL company.
The work on this elevated flyover is expected to commence in April 2025.A proposal of Rs 1,000 crore for this elevated flyover, approximately five kilometres long, was prepared a few months ago. According to officials of the district administration, proposals are being prepared for flyovers at Kachhari, Maharana Pratap Chauraha, Medical Chauraha, an integrated flyover at Sulemsarai, doubling of Rambagh ROB, and bypasses for trans-Yamuna and trans-Ganga areas. With the elevated flyover in Naini, the route towards Karchana, Meja, Manda, Koraon on the Yamuna side, as well as Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Chunar, Shaktinagar, and Singrauli, Sidhi, and Shahdol of Madhya Pradesh, would become easier.
