Bhubaneswar: Members of National Students Union of India (NSUI), Odisha, on Monday alleged that the library and information science department of Utkal University violated the admission rules and denied admission to a student this year. The
NSUI, led by its state president Udit Narayan Pradhan, submitted a memorandum to higher education secretary Aravind Agrawal, demanding justice for the student, Bijay Kumar Sahoo, who was waiting for admission to the course.
University authorities said the first phase of waiting list admission was scheduled between Sept 26 and 28. But. Sahoo got the CLC after Sept 28, so he was not allowed for admission, said an official of the university. TNN
