Two polymer units closed over pollution
Hyderabad: The Telangana Pollution Control Board (PCB) has issued closure notices to two polymer units for violating pollution control norms. SSM Raj Polymers, located in Ippalapalle village, and Bhasker Polymers in Karwan, Hyderabad, were found operating without valid permissions.
An inspection on August 1, 2024, revealed that SSM Raj Polymers operated dilapidated pyrolysis reactors and released exhaust gases without a valid Consent for Operation (CFO).
