Shiromani Akali Dal has convened a meeting of the party’s core committee at its HQ here Tuesday to discuss the bypolls.
The meeting will also finalise the strategy for the election of the office-bearers of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee on Oct 28. This apart, the party will take stock of the paddy procurement crisis in the state. Senior party leader Daljit Singh Cheema said neither are the paddy crops being purchased, nor are they being lifted from mandis.
