Balotra police arrest criminal for hurting religious sentiments
Jaisalmer: Balotra police's district special team (DST) and Guda police station team on Sunday arrested Kisan alias KD Don, a history-sheeter from Rewari, Haryana. The accused was arrested for posting objectionable content on social media that hurt religious sentiments. He was brought to Balotra on Saturday and his mobile phone was seized and he was thoroughly interrogated.

Thereafter, he was sent to judicial custody.
The accused wanted to gain notoriety by posting controversial content on social media. During the Lok Sabha elections, he shared a threatening post against an independent candidate, which quickly spread on social media. Due to strong protests by social organizations, he was arrested earlier too. Recently, he also made offensive comments against a specific religion on social media.
Under the guidance of SP Kundan Kanwaria, a specialized cyber team was formed, and with the help of technical assistance and intelligence gathering, the accused, Kesar Ram alias Kisan alias KD, a resident of Pooniyon Ki Beri, Pareu PS Gida, was arrested from Rewari, Haryana.
Balotra SP Kundan Kanwaria said Kesar Ram was arrested following directives regarding the posting of objectionable comments against a specific religion on social media.
