CHENNAI: The Indian Coast Guard Ship Rani Abbakka on Monday rescued an Olive Ridley turtle that was entangled in fishing nets in the sea off Chennai.
The Coast Guard ship was patrolling in the sea when its personnel found the turtle trapped in discarded nets, struggling to wiggle out of it. The personnel lowered a lifeboat from the ship, caught hold of the turtle and set it free.
