Patna: The body of Chhote Alam (25), was found with bullet injuries in Jagmalwa village under the Thawe police station area in Gopalganj district early Sunday morning. Chhote, a resident of Paithan Patti village, had left his home on Saturday night after receiving a phone call. According to the police, he was called by a known person to meet near a tower in Jagmalwa where he was later shot dead.
The assailant fled after the incident.
Sadar SDPO Pranjal said locals raised an alarm upon finding the body in the morning. “A large number of people gathered at the site and informed the police. It appears that Chhote was killed during the night. He was shot in the chest and one empty bullet shell was recovered from the spot. The body was handed over to the family after an autopsy. Forensic experts visited the spot and collected samples,” the SDPO added.
