Minor girl molested in Ballia district

Varanasi: Police took a man into custody for sexually assaulting a minor girl in Ballia's Narahi police station area on Sunday.
The 16-year-old girl's mother alleged that her daughter was taken away by an adult male acquaintance, and was raped. A case was registered immediately based on her complaint, SP Vikrant Vir, along with a forensic team, inspected the crime scene.
One accused has been taken into police custody, and all aspects of the case are being investigated for necessary legal action, said Vir.
