Firing in Manipur’s Jiribam targeting PS, no casualties
Guwahati: A day after miscreants set a school ablaze in Manipur’s Jiribam town, suspected militants launched a brazen gun and bomb attack in the Borobekra sub-division of Jiribam district on Saturday morning.
The attackers allegedly targeted the Borobekra Police Station, with suspected militants firing indiscriminately in its vicinity at around 5:30 am. Central security forces and police responded swiftly, dispatching additional reinforcements to the location.
As a precautionary measure, civilians, particularly elderly, women and children, have been temporarily relocated to safer locations.

Borobekra, situated approximately 30 km from Jiribam town, is surrounded by hills terrain and dense forests. No casualties have been reported thus far.
