Spurned lover held for bid to kill girlfriend

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly attacked by her male friend in SR Nagar on Saturday. Sources said that Madhusudhan allegedly attacked the victim with a blade on the road in a bid to murder her. The woman who suffered severe bleeding injuries was rushed to a nearby hospital, after locals alerted the police. She is currently undergoing treatment.
Both the accused and the victim were classmates while pursuing their engineering in Nellore district. Later, they both came to Hyderabad to learn a software course. During this time, they moved closely, and the man proposed to her. Subsequently, she started to distance herself from him. Later, when Madhusudhan tried to have a discussion, a heated argument broke out. He then attacked her with a blade. The accused is reportedly in the custody of SR Nagar cops.tnn
