Kanpur: Day 3 of IIT Kanpur's Antaragni continued the dazzling momentum with a variety of exciting events showcasing the incredible range of talent and artistry the festival offers. The theme, ‘A Syncretic Jaunt,' was once again reflected in the colourful and diverse mix of performances and competitions throughout the day.
The day began early with Roots at the auditorium, immersing attendees in the rich traditions of India's classical music from 8am to 11am.
Simultaneously, the Poetry Slam in L3 saw wordsmiths captivate audiences with their powerful verses, while the Mono Act performances in L19 impressed with riveting solo theatrical displays. The long-awaited Stageplay Finale took place in L7, running from 9am to 7pm, where talented theatre groups brought stories to life, leaving the audience enthralled.
Meanwhile, fashion enthusiasts were in for a treat at the Fashion Geek event held at One and a Half, where creativity met style in a unique competition.
The day carried on with Sangam at Outreach, an event fostering cultural harmony through various performances. Additionally, Nrityangna at L19 brought together some of the most talented dancers, who lit up the stage with traditional and contemporary moves.
As the afternoon rolled in, Word Games and Aamne-Saamne Finale kept participants sharp and competitive. Mr. and Ms. Antaragni continued at the auditorium, where contestants showcased their talents and personalities in a series of tests. Estampie Finals at the Events Ground dazzled the crowd with energetic dance performances, while the Kavi Sammelan at OAT celebrated the art of poetry, drawing in poetry lovers from all corners.
One of the major highlights of Day 3 was Fusion Night, featuring none other than renowned playback singer Javed Ali, who graced the Pronite stage. His soulful rendition of the iconic song ‘Jashn-E-Bahaara' had the crowd swaying to the heartfelt melody. The day continued with more laughter at Comic Con from 10 PM to midnight. DJ Prelims, Silent Disco, and Unplugged kept the party going well into the night, while Battle Underground made a dramatic return at 2am, with underground crews facing off in intense music and dance battles.
