"Most of the blocked mobile phone numbers and IMEI numbers originated in other states, and the cooperation of the telecom service-providing companies was sought to block them. Further action will be taken in this matter. Liaison is on with banks, SIM card issuers, and related companies," said Nain.
He further said the district police are carrying out a campaign in Mewat to curb cybercrime. "If anyone is found involved, a case is registered, and action is initiated against them. The cyber cell will also train people who allocate SIM cards, advising them to link them with Aadhaar cards and educating SIM card holders not to misuse their mobile phones and SIM cards. The cyber cell is constantly monitoring mobile phones and SIM cards coming from other states," added Nain.
