MRPL posts Rs 682 crore loss
Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) reported a loss of Rs 682 crore after tax for the second quarter that ended on September 30. During the 266th meeting held on Friday, the board of directors of MRPL approved its limited reviewed standalone and consolidated financial results for the second quarter.
A release stated that the company's revenue from operations increased to Rs 28,786 crore, compared to Rs 22,844 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year.

The gross refining margin (GRM) of the company stood at $0.55 a barrel in Q2 of 2024-25, against $17.1 a barrel in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
During the second quarter, the Devangonthi Marketing Terminal was commissioned in Aug and HSD tanker loading commenced. The Elathur Depot was made fully operational, dispensing 15 TKL of product month.
