PATHANKOT: A video showing students carrying bricks in school has sparked outrage. In the 51-second video, students of Govt High Smart School in Rajparura, Pathankot district, are seen carrying one or two bricks at a time and throwing them into a pile.
The footage, featuring students of various age groups, has caused serious concern.
The person filming the video asks a woman, presumably a teacher at the school, if the children are there to do labour work.

At this, she emphatically replies that they are not engaged in labour. However, the person filming the incident asserts that construction work is being done at the site.
When contacted, DEO (secondary) Rajesh Gupta said he came to know about the issue through the video and had sought a report from the school principal.
Rajesh said a few months ago, he was informed that the school had planted flowering plants and placed bricks around them. Now that the plants had grown, students were removing the bricks.
