Karnataka MUDA 'scam': Team of 12 ED officials raids Mysuru office

MYSURU: A team of 12 Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers from Bengaluru arrived at the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) office on Friday to examine records related to the alleged scam involving Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah.
The investigation comes two weeks after complainant Snehamayi Krishna provided evidence to ED officials on October 3.
The ED team, including security personnel, arrived at the office around 11.45am and are verifying records with the help of MUDA officials, including commissioner AN Raghunandan.

The team is expected to review all records related to the Kesare land and the 14 sites that were returned by CM Siddaramaiah's wife, BM Parvathi.
Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, and his brother BM Mallikarjuna Swamy were booked under various provisions of the "IPC, Prevention of Corruption Act and Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act and Land Grabbing Prohibition Act" by Lokayukta police on September 27, following a direction by the special court dealing with criminal cases against MPs and MLAs in Bengaluru.
Snehamayi Krishna petitioned the ED on September 30, demanding a probe into the alleged scam.
