NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension for the submission of online examination forms for the December 2024 Term-End Examinations. According to the latest notification issued by the university, students enrolled in both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes can now submit their forms without a late fee until October 27, 2024.
The notification, issued with the approval of the competent authority, outlines the details of the extended deadlines.
Students who miss the initial deadline can still submit their examination forms with a late fee of Rs 1,100 from October 28, 2024, to November 3, 2024.
This extension applies to all students preparing for their December 2024 examinations and offers additional time for those who were unable to complete the process earlier. The university has urged students to utilise this opportunity to ensure their eligibility for the upcoming exams.
Earlier, the IGNOU has extended the last date for fresh admissions for the July 2024 session. The new deadline for admission to all programmes offered in ODL and online modes (excluding semester-based and certificate programmes) is now October 31, 2024.
Students interested in registering for these programmes can apply through the ODL portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in or the online portal at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
These announcements come as a relief to students who were previously concerned about missing important deadlines due to various challenges, offering them ample time to finalise their submissions and admissions for the upcoming term.
