Kolkata: Hundreds of commuters headed home had a harrowing time after metro services along the North-South corridor were disrupted for an hour on Thursday evening following a suicide attempt at Kalighat station. “A commuter jumped in front of a New Garia (Kavi Subhas)-bound train at Kalighat metro station at 6.20pm. Normal services along the entire stretch resumed at 7.16pm,” a metro official said.
