Man forges docus to lower age by 9 years, arrested
Kota: In an audacious attempt to secure a govt job, a 31-year-old man identified as Hansraj Singh, resident of Neem Ka Thana district, was apprehended during the final round of Rajasthan Constable Recruitment Exam 2023 at the police line in Baran on Thursday.
Singh had falsified his date of birth certificate and Aadhaar card, reducing his age by nine years, and had subsequently passed Class 10 and 12 exams in a bid to secure a govt job.

Singh's deception was uncovered during the initial scrutiny of documents and health examination. Upon interrogation, he revealed that he had forged his birth certificate, stating his date of birth as Nov 25, 2002, instead of the actual date of Nov 25, 1993. Using these fraudulent documents, he had successfully cleared all previous rounds of the recruitment exam.
Baran SP Raj Kumar Choudhary said police received a complaint regarding this from the special operations group (SOG) in Jaipur. A search of Singh's belongings yielded copies of old documents, including an Aadhaar card, Delhi Police recruitment application form, Ordnance Factory Board recruitment application form, and a Class 10 marksheet from 2009, all bearing the original birth date of Nov 25, 1993.
Singh confessed to having cleared the Delhi Police recruitment Exam using the same forged documents.
