Partially naked body of minor girl found in drain

Kanpur: A partially naked body of a teenage girl was found in a drain near Ludhaura village in Shivli police station area of Kanpur Dehat on Thursday afternoon.
Preliminary inquiry suggested that the girl died approximately a week ago.
According to reports, the 14-year-old girl had gone missing on Oct 10. Her family alleged that some miscreants raped her before killing and dumping her body in the drain.Protesting over the incident, the outraged family members along with few locals blocked the Shivli-Kalyanpur road, seeking justice. According to the girl's father, his daughter had gone to a neighbour's house on Oct 10 to borrow a mobile charger, where two men recorded a video her. She went missing thereafter.
The father filed a complaint at Baghpur outpost on Oct 12. He alleged that the police failed to take any action and released the suspects he had identified. Meanwhile, in view of the protest, a police force was deployed at the site to maintain law and order.
