Fire breaks out in electric bus, 10 rescued

Ahmedabad: A fire erupted on a BRTS electric bus near Chokha Bazaar in Kalupur at around 10am on Friday. The bus was operating from Bhadaj to Naroda village. The fire spread quickly and it was burned completely. At the time of the fire, there were about 10 passengers on the bus. However, the driver acted promptly, stopping the bus and safely evacuating all passengers.The driver attempted to extinguish the fire with an extinguisher but was unsuccessful. By the time the fire brigade arrived, the fire had spread throughout the bus, which was then completely burned. The fire brigade managed to bring the fire under control. Previously, in June, a fire broke out in three electric buses charging at the Vastral bus depot.
