Mangaluru: After coming to power, the
Congress party withdrew police cases related to the Hubballi incident and the hijab protest, which involved the Muslim community, while not retracting cases against Hindus, following a repressive policy. The discrimination ignited by the govt will eventually burn Congress in the future, stated Mangaluru City North MLA Y Bharat Shetty.
"It is not unknown that your govt is diverting attention to cover up its scandals. Instead of leading the state towards development, it is unfortunate that you are engaging in suppressing Hindus. The more your govt oppresses, Hindus become stronger. Your govt did not come into existence solely through the votes of minorities," Shetty said.
Hindus also supported you and put you in power, the MLA said . "Now, providing benefits, withdrawing laws, and extending other facilities to only one group is a conspiracy of an anti-Hindu agenda," the MLA alleged, adding that the
BJP will fight against Congress's anti-Hindu policy.
