Mumbai: The All India Majlise Ittihadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is planning to contest 15 seats in the city in the assembly polls.
AIMIM city president Raiees Lashkaria said this decision was made after a survey the party conducted recently.
"We appointed observers in 18 assembly seats in the city to assess the chances of our candidates in these seats. We found that there are 15 seats where we have good chances, and we will announce our candidates soon," said Lashkaria.
Lashkaria himself is planning to contest the Versova seat. At a recent party meeting, AIMIM president and MP
Asaduddin Owaisi announced Lashkaria's nomination from Versova.
A couple of days ago, Lashkaria held a daylong job fair where 6,000 candidates attended, of which 150 were selected. Around 70 corporates and recruiters with 10,000 vacancies were interviewed.
